Nacho Figueras, today’s most recognized polo player in the world, graciously accepted the position as the first St. Regis connoisseur. His love of international travel and polo has created a greater awareness among fans around the globe.
St. Regis is delighted to introduce one of the world’s oldest and most fascinating sports to the youngest generation of St. Regis guests.
Guests enjoy the very best of St. Regis with a number of world-class polo events throughout the year.
On December 14th – 17th, 2017 we celebrated the very best of the winter season with the annual Aspen Polo event sponsored by the St. Regis in Aspen, Colorado.
Polo style is governed by the social occasion, climate and access to the polo field. Dress is more formal when the match is for charity or by invitation and more casual for a simple afternoon affair.
We believe in the transformative power of dressing up. A beautiful dress in a vibrant color will be an instant confidence boost.
As much as we love stilettos, at polo it is best to choose a wedge or flat sandal that won’t sink into the grass. When you are spending all day in the sun, a wide brim hat and sunglasses will protect your skin and lend a glamorous finishing touch to your look.

Having traveled with her husband, world famous polo player, Nacho Figueras, Delfina Blaquier has mastered the art of dressed-down elegance:
Typically, men tend to wear chinos or dress pants and a dress shirt to polo, especially if they are invited to a charity benefit or are invited into exclusive VIP areas at a match. A blazer or sport coat is a useful ‘layer.’ Occasionally a guest may want to wear a tie and panama hat. Brogues, loafers or driving shoes can be excellent choices, paired with sunglasses and binoculars.
